When I wore my natural hair, it was difficult for me find a weave that matched my natural hair. Most weaves on the market cater to mostly relaxed or pressed African American hair, I have compiled a short list of hair brands that match natural African American hair perfectly.

1. Bohyme Brazilian Wave- I have personally tried this brand of hair, this hair matched my hair perfectly. The textured and thickness of the hair was identical to mine. Most women wear this hair curly, the curls are tight coil curls which are beautiful another way to wear the hair is in its natural state where the hair has a loose wave pattern. Word to the wise-this hair requires a lot of care and maintenance, this hair can also be worn straight.

2. Janet Collection-King Yaki- This hair has been featured on YouTube and while there are good and bad reviews on this hair one thing they all agree on is how much the hair resembles natural African American hair. The King Yaki gives a fresh natural look to women without looking to wiggy.

3. His & Her Hair Company- This hair resembles the Bohyme Brazilian Wave hair in it's natural state. It is really thick and has a low-medium sheen. The hair can worn straight or natural and blends beautifully with our hair. Civil Rights and Multicultural Cooperation

As I was channel suffering this past Saturday morning I came across this interesting panel, discussing the different cultures involved in the civil rights movement. Among those speaking was a gentleman who was a former member of the Black Panther Party, what I found interesting was the abundance of community projects and programs (some still in existence today) that this group in correlation with other multicultural groups started. I share with you a part of history that has been brushed to the side.
