Love, The Most Misused Word

As a child growing up my mother always told me not to use the word love loosely. For example; I would say "I love my toys", my mother would then ask me can those toys love you back, are they able to nourish your talents, help build integrity and help your through difficult times? Now of course I answered no, she would reply "then how can you love them, when they are unable to love you". I didn't understand my mother's reasoning behind me using the word love, I felt if I had a strong liking to certain things then I loved them. Recently I had epiphany about the word love, in today's society we use the word love to describe almost anything and everything we have a strong liking for. We say "I love my car, I love my house or I love my couch"(LOL), when we apply the word love to objects that word somehow loses its power. True love helps a person grow, it nourishes the soul and feeds the mind, love gives as well receives. We have to rememb
